The first days with a baby have something indescribable about them. Everything is new, everything is intense, and time feels both suspended and rushing by far too quickly. It is a period when you learn to discover each other, to recognise each other, to find your first bearings together.

That is why newborn sessions are so precious: they let you keep a sincere trace of these very first days of life, just as they are, with no staging, no pressure, in all their gentleness and truth.

A newborn session with me

During a newborn session, I simply slip into your cocoon, whether at the maternity ward or once you are back home, in the very first days of your baby's life (ideally within the first 15 days).

I adapt entirely to your rhythm: your baby's, your breaks, your arms that are still learning to find each other. There is nothing to prepare, nothing to get right. We let things happen naturally.

I am there to observe, feel and capture this bond unfolding in front of my eyes: the slightly hesitant glances, the instinctive gestures, the raw tenderness of those first moments together.

These sessions are very calm, very respectful, with everything centred on you and your baby.

The wrapped bath with Solène, Bulle de coton

In some newborn sessions, I also work alongside Solène, Bulle de coton, who offers wrapped baths at your home.

It is a special moment, around 1.5 hours long, designed as a real guided ritual around bathing a newborn. Solène comes to you, sets up a soft, secure environment, and walks you step by step through the ritual.

The baby is wrapped, contained, reassured, and finds sensations close to those felt in utero. Very often, we witness a deep release, an almost incredible relaxation, as if the baby finally lets go completely.

During this powerful moment, I am there discreetly to document every instant: the hands that reassure, the moved looks, the gentleness of every gesture, and above all this timeless bubble that forms in your home.

It is an extremely moving moment to photograph, because it blends the technique of the care, Solène's caring presence, and all the emotional weight of parents discovering their baby differently: peaceful, wrapped, deeply serene.

These images then become a powerful testimony of your beginnings together, both intimate and deeply human.
